This is the kind of entertainment most
magicians love to perform. There are basically two forms
of "hospitality" performing.
"Walk-Around" is
presented in a room, outside on a patio or anywhere the
clients or guests gather in a particular area. The
magician "walks around" the room entertaining guests
one-on-one or for groups of two or three who might be
standing around mingling, while sipping a drink. It's
the after hours "chit-chat" kind of crowd where the
client is looking for "atmospheric" entertainment. The
magician performs only one or two quick tiricks, them
moves on to another small group. These are the special
clients who the company might want to be "specially"
entertained.
The other kind of Hospitality
entertainment would be when Dan has a "corner table" in
a hospitality room. He sits at the table and invites
anyone who might want to join him for some "private"
magic. This "table magic" can be for one client, or
performed for as however many can sit and stand around
the table to witness Dan's "close-up" sleight of
hand.
The length of this kind of presentation is
up to the client as it is easy to repeat certain magic
tricks to a "different audience" every few minutes.
Sometimes the client wishes Dan to perform only 30 to 90
minutes of "walk-around" and other times, Dan will be
set up at his table throughout the whole weekend as
clients come and go in this special VIP room.
